“More than Blue or Pink”- Gender identity and expectations in film and society

 

Join students from the GC2Y “Sex and Resistance” along with the GC Women’s Center for their Zoom/Facebook event on gender identity. The event will take place on October 13, 2020 at 5:00pm and will begin with a presentation on gender and sex, as well as how gender expectations can be controlling forces in each and every one of our lives. The event will also focus on transgender and nonbinary struggles and the importance of respecting one another’s identities. Guest speaker and film professor, Dr. Lauren Pilcher will be incorporating film in their discussion of gender images, and there will be a brief Q&A at the end!
